More May wedding!

Hanging from the pines I had pink roses in bubble glass so fun and very pretty.

This weekends bride wanted Pink pomanders! they looked wonderful hanging from all the white chairs. This was at Yarrow Golf Club~

May I can say has been a busy month here at Affordable Elegance. I have had a wonderful busy month making wedding designs for my brides and I will miss them all. Every weekend in May has been so warm and sunny Today May 30Th is no exception it was a warm, breezy day and my brides were radiant. I hope they all enjoyed their flowers ! I made pomanders to sit in the gardens around the tented area.

Eye for details

Karen really had an eye for cute details. She really had my eye when she made theses adorable fabric flowers to sit on her place guest napkins (via my idea) so cute and colorful too.

Out side in the gardens May 23rd 2009

On the path leading to the garden I made a heart shape wreath with the couples letter of their last name~

Here is a photo showing the chairs with the pomanders.. So pretty all lined up!

May at Brook Lodge

I feel very blessed that I am doing so many weddings this season at the lodge. Last month we all got the word that by January 1st 2010 they will no longer be open! That's right they will no longer be hosting wonderful, great weddings for anyone they will close their doors do to the economy~ I feel so bad I have really gotten to know the wedding staff at the lodge and have become quite fond of all of them.
Anyways here is photos I got to take in the gardens today. This was one of the weddings I just had the best time with, the bride was a gem and really let me do my stuff. She was also very detailed(I love that). Here she is~

Karen wanted vendella roses, blue delphiniums, blue hydrangeas, green cymbidium orchids. For her maids they also had some of the same mix with a little bit of the green Kermit pomps, and green spider mums.... I love it Great colors.

For the garden I got to make wonder pomander flower balls, with Daisy pomp's, and green hypericum berries. As you can see they…

Whirl wind weekend!

The first brides bouquet was of yellow roses, yellow Asiatic Lilly, blue delphiniums, mini callas, and Lilly of the valley right from my friend Jenny's own garden! I also added a monogram to her bouquet!

You know there are times when you think you can do it all? Well this weekend was one of them for me. I designed 3 weddings for Saturday~ 2 were on the smaller side and one was quite large. I got to take a couple of photos of the smaller ones (maybe I will get some from their collection). But I did manage my final wedding at Brook Lodge to snap a few of the bride. She was very happy with her flowers in return makes me very happy too. All 3 weddings had the same color cornflower blue used!

This bride choice of flowers was vendella roses, fern curls, Blue delphiniums and chocolate cosmos! in a dome shape design

fun spring colors

I always love it when my brides give a great color to use. This spring I got to use fall tone! It was a little challenge but I think I did well~ here is wonderful photos from Beth Pulsipher photography what a great shot

The bride choose to add her grandmothers photo to the handle of her bouquet, it really is a personal statement.

When I see one of my brides photos from her wedding holding one of my designs I just get all funny inside In a good way. This past wedding was no exception, what a fabulous day and a beautiful bride. The bright spring photos show off her flowers so much.

May weddings

May is always a great time for spring flowers and a good wedding. This weekend was no exception to that rule. Brook Lodge hosted a nice simple wedding outside. I am sure it was the first of the year. Here are a couple of photos I got to take of the gazebo and of the bride. Cant wait to get the "real" photos form the photographer.
